People Chow

Soooo...this is my new blog!!!

I love to bake and cook and all that other good stuff!  Usually I bake a dessert about once or  twice a week, so I'll try to take pictures and post about it on my blog! = )

This is my first really simple and easy recipe that I made with my wonderful friend Bethany!  The real recipe's name is sort of a mystery.  People call it "Muddie Buddies", "Puppy Chow", or "People Chow."  It only takes about ten minutes to make and it's really easy!

The Ingredients!
1.  The first step, pour 8 cups of Chex Mix in a large bowl.

2. Grab a saucepan and melt a regular stick of butter.
3. Melt everything else except for vanilla and powdered sugar.

4. Pour the chocolate over the Chex mix and stir gently.

5.  Add around 1/3 of the chocolate covered Chex Mix to another bowl and begin covering it with powdered sugar by shaking it up. (This can also be done in a zip-loc bag.)

Ingredients:
8 cups Rice Chex®, Corn Chex® or Chocolate Chex® cereal (or combination)
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cups of powdered sugar

Instructions:
1. Measure Chex Mix into a large bowl and set aside.
2. In a medium to large sauce pan, melt the stick of butter, chocolate chips, and peanut butter for about 2 minutes or until smooth.
3. Pour chocolate mixture over the Chex Mix and stir till evenly combined.
4. Add around 1/3 of the chocolate covered Chex Mix to another bowl and cover it with powdered sugar.  (You shouldn't try to put the powdered sugar on the Chex Mix all at once or else it won't stick.)
5. When you're finished adding powdered sugar it should look like this...

I hope you enjoy this recipe!

There are nutritional facts at  http://www.chex.com/recipes/RecipeView.aspx?RecipeId=45860&CategoryId=340  but just forget about that and enjoy it! =)

Not to steal Tim Tebow's motto or anything but I've decided to put GB2 at the end of all my posts.

For those of you who don't know his motto, it stands for "God Bless, Go Broncos."
But my wonderful new motto is..... God Bless, GO BAKE!!!
GB2
