Butterscotch Blondies

.
A Mother-Daughter "Set Apart" weekend retreat.
There was lots of good food and spiritual food as well!
Guess what? You know that thing that's been bugging me for awhile, you know...the thing. We're talking about the same thing right? Anyway, I don't want to say the word because I'm afraid I might catch it again. For those of you still don't know what the thing is, let's just say it rhymes with Driter's and clock. Do you know what it is??? But wait!!!! Don't say it because you might get it too, trust me you don't want it.

The Ingredients

Hold off with lubricating the pan, we're going to butter and flour it instead.

Pour the melted butter like a forecast of rain....I'm trying to come up with a metaphor.

Blondies go well with pretty much everything, especially blonde-haired people. Because this has become my official favorite practical dessert, I really like the fact that I'm a blondie eating a blondie, haha, get it?
That was really punny.

And here is the delicious recipe!!!

Oatmeal Scotchies

They were very nice to each other.
I made sure there was no shoving of food
 or anything like that.
Well, it's May and things are starting to wind down, school and choir and lots of other good stuff, but not baking. You CAN'T take a summer vacation from baking! In fact, for me baking is sort of a vacation all in itself, especially this recipe. It's a warm crunchy little cookie, with just a hint of cinnamon. And of course it tastes good....doesn't every dessert? =)

The Ingredients

Dough! A mix with lots of sugar!
NOT, "doe, a deer, a female deer!"

I consider anything that has oatmeal in it a very healthy recipe.

The cookies are all "rounded" up and ready to go!
Get it?

I sort of adapted this recipe. When it said to add " 3 cups of oatmeal, I thought it was too much, so I only added 2 cups.
(Follow the directions and add 3.)
=)
Here is the recipe for the cookies! It's the same one that's used on the back of the butterscotch bag. Eating a cookie is always a good way to wind down after a looong day.

(I wonder what Tim Tebow's new motto is going to be since he's moving to the Jets?)
Go Jets! Go Jesus!
GJ2???
Does anyone have any ideas???

6 Layer Magic Cookie Bars

Magic Cookie Bars? How can cookies be magic? Will I turn into a pumpkin if I eat this? Ok, so you're probably wondering why this is a "magic" recipe. So... I don't exactly have the answer for that, except make the recipe yourself and you'll find out. It's really good!

I love reading other people's cooking blogs and websites but sometime I think, "wow this looks really good, but there's no way I could ever learn to make that." Not with this recipe though, all you have to do is crush, pour, dump, and bake, and a couple other minor details. =)
The Ingredients
This ain't exactly chopped to perfection but it will work. (I love using country language, although my Mom says I don't live in the country so I should speak proper English.)  =)

My desert of a dessert
It snowed on my desert. =0

1 Corinthians 10:13 - No temptation has overtaken you, No temptation has overtaken you, No temptation has overtaken you...

I think I shall write a book, "Great Ways to Break a Diet."

I normally type out the recipe, but I decided to save time and just give you the link.  (Sometimes I'll substitute pretzels for the nuts which makes it taste 10x better!) The recipe's real name is 7 layer magic cookie bars, but I only counted 6 layers? So either I'm confused or the website didn't do their math right.  You decide.
